Luminance - Caran d’Ache

Hello everyone!

I recently swatched all luminance pencils from Caran D’ache over on my YouTube channel.
I received the whole set while working on my coloring book. I also used a selection of the Caran D’ache for the tutorials I have written for this book.

If you didn’t know about me working on a coloring book, more about that here. You can already pre-order it on amazon.de.

Since I am now the proud owner of the full set of Luminance, I decided to swatch them all out and talk about the pigments that they used. The video is quite long, but it’s going to be useful for you if you are pondering between certain colors.

Below the scanned swatch card I did. I used hot pressed paper to swatch these colored pencils.
I really love these because I usually buy my art supplies by picking the pigments I like and so far they are the only brand that state which pigments they use. I find that incredible useful.
They also have lightfast ratings and in theory all of these have good or excellent lightfast ratings. Now I’ve spotted a few pigments that are known to be meh, but more on that in my YouTube video.

In case you want to see me swatching those and talk more in depths about the pigments and which colors I would recommend, here is the full video:
